In 1998, while directing global development at Blimpie International, Stan Friedman created an Urban Expansion initiative that was heralded by the media, and leaders of both the public and private sectors.  His “Blimpie Urban Initiative for Leadership Development” culminated in an invitation to the White House, to participate in President Clinton’s, “White House Conference for Community Empowerment.”   Later that year, Stan’s urban expansion initiative was honored as Blimpie International’s Innovation of the Year.

Understanding progressive movement in both relationships and business, Stan now leverages his passion for franchising, as President of FRM Solutions.  FRM is a franchise-centric technology company that assists franchisors with the management of relationships, with both prospective and existing franchisees.  Previously, Stan served in leadership and development positions for several well-known franchise brands, including Tutor Doctor, Wing Zone, WSI Internet, ERA Franchise Systems and Prudential Real Estate Affiliates.

Stan Friedman is a founding Board member of the (IFA) International Franchise Association’s Diversity Institute where he served as its First Vice-Chair from 2007-2012.  In 2010, the (IFA) International Franchise Association honored Stan with its coveted Ronald E. Harrison Diversity Award, an honor that it had only previously bestowed seven times, in the 53 year history of the IFA.  In his hometown of Atlanta, GA, Stan is a board member of the Southeast Franchise Forum the IFA’s Atlanta-based Franchise Business Network Chapter and chairs their Programming Committee. Stan is a frequent speaker at franchising conferences nationwide and is a regular contributor to the IFA’s Franchising World Magazine.
